New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey has been hospitalized after suffering a seizure.
Shockey was in the weight room with some of his teammates when the seizure occurred.
The tight end wrote on his Twitter page that he is fine and that fans should not worry about him.
Teammate Darren Sharper said that Shockey told him he felt lightheaded before the incident.
It’s unknown how long the tight end will be hospitalized or how this could affect his NFL career.

Despite all of the reports to the contrary, the New Orleans Saints have no interest in signing recently released quarterback JaMarcus Russell.
Some thought the Saints would be a perfect landing spot because Russell played his college ball at LSU and would be returning to his hometown.
Head coach Sean Payton said he didn’t think it was the right time for the Saints to bring in Russell, whatever that means.
Payton is probably concerned that Russell’s bad work ethic would cause distractions that aren’t needed for the defending Super Bowl champions.
I would expect a team desperate for quarterback help to bring in Russell, not one with a Pro Bowler like Drew Brees under center.

New Orleans Saints star veteran safety Darren Sharper will return to the team next season.
Sharper has been out shopping himself around, looking for a big contract from other NFL teams.
The Saints let Sharper take a peek around because they were unwilling to give the 34-year old a big deal.
The Jacksonville Jaguars expressed interest in Sharper, but neither side could agree on a deal.
Instead, Sharper agreed to a one-year deal with the Saints. Financial terms were not disclosed.
